The last week was split equally between the Derbyshire Wye and the Welsh Dee. With the conditions gradually improving, both rivers are starting to produce the fish for which they are most famous.
The Wye gave us some vividly coloured Brown Trout and some beautifully marked wild Rainbows. The Dee delivered too with several good quality Grayling.
Both clients and friends alike have been enjoying some challenging but very rewarding dry fly sport over the past few days but suddenly the end of the season is starting to appear on the horizon.
As we edge into September, the temperatures are cooling and the days are getting shorter. The next few weeks could provide some fantastic fishing opportunities so don’t dally, get out and take advantage of what many consider to be the best part of the season.
