Despite all the recent rain, the river Alyn is very low and clear at the moment and as you might expect, the fish are very spooky.

 

Being a ‘glass half full’ kind of guy, I decided to use the opportunity to brush up on my fish spotting and stalking skills. It went badly initially but I improved as the day wore on. I even caught some!

 

In addition to the Trout and Grayling, I also found a Hairy Shield Bug and had close encounters with a Sparrow Hawk and a Kingfisher…but they were too quick for the camera.
