River Recce Part 3…25th June

June 26, 2018

Yesterday it was back to the river Goyt to explore some more unfished but very public stretches.

The fishy looking bits are easy to see from the footpaths and bridges but not easy to get into and out of. This makes you a perfect target for the projectiles and light hearted abuse that are occasionally hurled from the passing school kids and dog walkers.

However, if like me you are in possession of both thick skin and thick waders, you can battle your way to some heavenly spots.

With bright sunshine and temperatures pushing 30 degrees, I was forced to delve even deeper into the unknown.

The rivers steep banks and dense canopy combined with the imposing man made structures provided welcome shade, some beautiful fish and some stunning photographs.
