As the rain has abated temporarily, I was looking forward a few season-salvaging visits to the Dee.
However, a recent eye issue has meant that I’ve been unable to drive and so my ongoing Grayling fishing misery has been further compounded.
Sensing my inner pain, my partner generously offered to chauffeur me to a suitable spot on the river Dee for some much needed therapy.
Conditions weren’t really Ideal with an air/water temp of 1 degree, a searingly bright sun and a 6m/s wind but on the plus side, the river was at a great height.
With a bit of careful wading and a few hi-viz amendments to my rig I was at least able to re acquaint myself with the beauty of the Welsh Dee.
The fish were very hard you find, or maybe I just missed the takes but it was still a fabulous afternoon.
