It’s Easter Monday and I’m still troutless. The air temperature has dropped even further and there’s snow on the hills.
I have several lockdown purchases to field-test and a few bookings from stir crazy clients chomping at the bit to get out. “Better get the back out there” I thought to myself.
The Derbyshire Wye is known for its healthy fish population and as I’m due to fish it with a client later this week, it seemed like the perfect place for a few hours R & D.
Yet again, the high winds, bright sun and freezing cold proved a tough combination to crack but there were a few fish that were active enough to take a nymph.
