Winter of Discontent? … 25th September

September 26, 2020

The Trout season is drawing to a close and there is the nagging feeling that we’re heading for another total lockdown. Those two factors have made for another very busy week on the rivers as many of us squeeze in those ‘additional’ last minute outings.

The conditions have been challenging too as high winds and torrential rain have suddenly replaced the bright sun and low clear water.

But there is always the chance of some great fishing in the autumn and those that make the effort to get out will have spectacular scenery, the odd hatch of flies and occasions when the fish will be feeding hard.

Get out whilst you still can!
